Okay, so this news is apparently a biggie in the world, cause' you can find articles on online newspapers from Canada to Indonesia. This is probably the first time I've seen so many wanted posters in Singapore. In fact, I don't remember seeing any wanted posters. (Except for fake ones like Burger King ads)

After all this hooha, you know who the biggest losers are?

The Male Malay crippled.

I'm serious. It's true. I'm not being sexist/racist/handicappedist.

Imagine. You see a male Malay crippled person, struggling to get off the bus. You instinctively want to help him (yeah right) but then you hold back. What if he's Mas Selamat bin Kastari? And you remember the poster, saying, "anyone who renders assistance to him is committing a grave offence". Oh no. Better leave him alone.

Then the poor guy (who is probably not MSBK, but better to be safe than sorry right) falls down flat on the ground and starts BLEEDING and CRYING FOR HELP.

You can't bear it, but you strengthen your resolve and turn a blind eye. You think to yourself, "You're lucky my phone has no battery, or I'll report you ar."

Then the bus driver (accidentally) runs over the guy. You hear his ribs cracking and his unearthly cries. The bus driver gets down and has a mixed expression on his face. If you run over a terrorist, are you a murderer or a national hero?

Meanwhile, the guy is not dead yet, but starts crawling towards somebody. The crowd screams in horrified fascination. No one helps him. He's trying to say something but the bloody froth in his mouth chokes him. He's.... crawling towards you! You yell at him to go away and start to step back, feeling your bile rising. Then you puke all over him.

Meanwhile the police and an ambulance arrives.

The men in blue throw you in jail and the male Malay crippled guy is hospitalized.

But you escape easily.

Because oh c'mon, if a lame middle-aged can escape from a tight-security detention centre, WHAT'S GONNA STOP A TEENAGER.
