Well, today, the last day before the exams. I realized one thing.

Studying is expensive business.

Well. Today was the day when I panicked and threw all my disorganized files and worksheets and Zeus knows what around the house and went crazy accusing my family members of purposely hiding my history textbook so I'll fail miserably and end up working as a sex slave so they could laugh at me. Then I composed myself. And started thinking logically.

And reached a logical conclusion. With that, I confronted my brother, who was the prime suspect because he had expressed interest in the particular textbook (fine it was half a year ago, but it still stands) and thus is the most suspicious character in the house.

Anyway, when I really calmed down, I went to beg qfnn and zy for the textbook, but my phone then died on me by refusing to charge and barring me from receiving messages, so I texted qfnn to meet at Plaza Sing if he could make it (wasn't really expecting he'll go, because most probably he'll be having church and stuff) and just switched off my phone. Then I went to PS and sat at McCafe until I finished a Geog chapter and spent about 8 bucks on the new Iced Latte and White Choc Rasp Cake. The cake was terrible. Don't buy it. And latte? Well, it wasn't bad, if you ignore the fact that I'm allergic to caffeine and is prone to puking after drinking coffee. Generally, my tolerance for coffee is that: if the coffee taste is stronger than the sugar/milk taste, it's too strong for me. (Nescafe Mocha is 100% sugar, I swear) So I exited Mac after being shooed away by one of the staff. I didn't really mind, since the two Jap guys beside my table was distracting me with their blabbering that I couldn't really understand but was too tempting to eavesdrop. Besides, I have this sour feeling in my gut that probably means I'm gonna throw up all over the table.

After I wandered around PS again, wondering where to go. Then my next stupid idea came.

"Why don't you go to Starbucks?"

And that is why I ended up there from 5 to 7, trying to absorb history while washing it down with Cafe Mocha and a Chocolaty Danish. Wait, mocha? Yeah. Another stupid idea. I was under the delusion that maybe if I drank more coffee, I'll get used to it. Nope. But at least mocha is sweet.

Needless to say, Starbucks.. costs bucks.

But I suppose it's worth it.

Iced Latte: 3.50
White Choc Rasp Cake: 4.80
Mocha Tall: 5.60
Chocolaty Danish: 2.70
Total: 12.50
Result: one geog chapter, one history concept(Nazi State 1933-1939), two very muddled history concept (War in Pacific, Defeat of Japan)

Well, not that expensive. But not that worth it.

But after studying those very muddled chapters of history (no concept of dates, just murky memories of what happened. The main stuff.) I think that humankind is a very cruel and idiotic race.

Perhaps that's why I'm very misanthropic.
