If there's one thing I hate about being a blogger, it's telling people that a certain event is over. Firstly, if it's a good event, and I miss it, I'll become (subconsciously) emotional and tell everyone how I'm nostalgic about that certain activity and I miss the times we did something stupid/fun (most likely the two rolled into one). And so on. I'll ramble off about how I wish it had never ended.
On the other hand, I'm also very bad at describing events. Because somehow my mum drank alcoholic drinks when I was in utero, and therefore had given birth to a severely retarded individual who has zero audio and visual memory. And (subconsciously) I tend to exaggerate facts and add entire chunks of fiction which is well, fiction, like I married the ogress Fiona and we went to sail on the Black Pearl on our honeymoon and meet Chow Yun-Fat in Singapore. 鬼啊鬼啊!
Trust me, that is not hard to do with a severe retarded imagination like mine.
Conversely, if that is a nasty event that I did not enjoy in the least, I would either
1) NOT honour it by NOT writing about it
2) Complain till my (non-existing) fan club drops dead.
Thus you see how difficult my job is? How to please everyone?
But still due to overwhelming response (right) on my ever-so-popular tagboard (RIGHT. As in, sarcasm, but it can also mean the thingy over >>>>), I shall blog.
Oh, so this is about the band camp.
I must admit I was wondering if I could survive it, but in the end I wound up having a lot of fun. Well, skipping the indoor practices, when "the background music was especially nice"(that's what corny conductors say when you have a solo part and you didn't play it right), skipping outdoor when I incidentally burned myself by standing too near my junior Qifan and got scorched by his magnifying lens/glasses and had to be reconstructed on an atomic scale, it was fantastic.
And I find that freestyle is sometimes better than organized.
So. I did enjoy it. Yeah.
(Yes, whatever, I have nothing to say.)
Oh well. Shall go to sleep and die of exhaustion.
