Thankfully today, the Dreaded Monday had at least provided me with something to write. Actually, strictly speaking, today was quite a great day for me. I had worse Mondays.

Well, it started on a sour note. I realised the first period was Literature. Which I have a presentation to present. Which I have not done. Which will take at least 2 hours. And when I found out that ghastly fact, it was about 5:45-I was on bus 157. The first period was 8:00. I have to go for Flag-raising as a band member to play the National Anthem at latest 7:00. I would reach HCI by 6:00, take or give a few minutes.

Which leaves me with an hour, maximum. Thank you very much, Mr. Procrastination.

So I had to switch on to what I dubbed, "Saturated Point of Brain Power". Yeah right. If I had any brain, I would not have dragged that powerpoint (I recall it was due last last last last last... week. Which makes it 5 weeks due. 5 weeks ago, I should have uploaded that thing into the teacher's folder. Which, my dear readers, if I have any, would know that I have not.

Let's borrow my primary school's English teacher's commonly used phrase: Brilliant! (With sarcasm so thick a knife could cut it) *Courtesy of Mrs. Bernie Chan, thanks*

Anyway. I just typed whatever I could think of. Which resulted in an ultimate editors' nightmare. I'm not even sure what I was typing is English anymore. *Self-comfort: The book which I was supposed to analyse, Village by the Sea, by Anita Desai was set in India, so I might use that as an excuse.*

Sometimes I shock myself. I finished the whole junk in 45 minutes. The quality is not I would consider perfect (AHEM) but it can match the low standards of the Literature teacher. Let's keep those pinkies crossed.

And yes, things did change for the better. Okay, I have explain from scratch. Firstly, you are hereby informed that Lin Jiasheng, the ultimate genius, is in a band, namely, the HwaChongInstitutionMilitaryBand, or just conveniently referred as HCIMB. And I play the Euphonium. Yes, I know, everyone will give me that blank look and say, "Yew-phony what?"
It's pronounced ' you-phone-nium". In layman's terms, it is defined as a "smaller tuba".

Hmmm. Sorry for those music savvy readers. I know you know and we know that we know but we also know that some people don't know. So. Anyway there is an outdoor version of the euphonium. Or did I mention that euphoniums are meant most for indoor use, ie concerts. The outdoor (ie marching band) version is the mellophone, with is slightly different. Why don't I provide some visual aids-it's a waste of my bytes typing. My fingers are aching from all the typing this morning.

Yeah, no big deal. But it was so exciting! My first outdoor instrument! Mine!

Actually, I feel so guilty when I saw Khee Xuan, my band senior using the indoor instrument while I was using his. He had said that since he didn't need it anymore, might as well let me have it. Therefore, as repayment, I shall advertise his blog! Yay. His BLOG is quite interesting actually. Go read it.

And then it was the Literature period. Well. I can say I'm quite glad it went pretty well, and it lasted long enough. So long that I have continue tomorrow. Argh. Well, it wasn't my fault. The stupid Nicholas Koh Yong Wei decided to 'further enhance his elaboration on the theme and ...' The only thing he is enhancing is his spasticity, trust me. In any case, he should look at himself in a mirror. Hang on, he can't actually see himself. His superhuge ego is blocking th bare truth that he is really just dumb.

Enough blabbering. After that was Chinese. Mr. Tan gave out the test papers. I lost to 2 people. By a few marks. It was lucky that I didn't have a pen knife so I couldn't slash my wrist and let the blood wash away the humiliation .Wah~~~

After a meaningless recess, it was assembly. The topic was 'Standard of Spoken English in School' HEY IT WAS MY PROPOSED TOPIC! I was Chairperson for last week. It was one of my proposals. Naturally, I had lots to talk about. Yet, I wasn't confident. Nevertheless, I still stepped out, and made my FIRST self-initiated comment! Way to go Jiasheng! It was horrible though. I screwed up, but it was a good attempt, no matter what.

In the end the principal set the rule that we should speak proper english to non-chinese-teaching teachers. Ha! That would equate to asking Ah Beng to speak Queen's English. I shall wait and laugh in his face. Oh, I take that back. [Hereby displaying Kiasiium]

Geography was quite mundane. We got our test papers back, which the teacher claims to be very easy. I got a 16 and a half over 25. My table mate was lamenting about the 'Curse of the Jiasheng Overperformance', which reflects on the evidence that strangely, he would get at least half a mark lower than me except for Mathematics (he scored 16).

Music was a disaster. Usually I enjoy the lessons, but my classmates sung 'Peng You' and they sung it so horribly that I think all deities would condemn it. It was part of my primary 6 'graduation song medley'. I had cried singing it before. And there they were, destroying the very essence of the song. Forget it. I openly declare that I hate Jos--hang on, their names are so evil. Too loathsome to be put on the holy bytes of my blog. I just wish they grow up quick soon and face the wrath of the society. Ahahaha.

I went back home after school. Grabbed a bite and headed to MOELC for my Japanese lessons. I had been missing a lot of lessons. Due to the NDP performance rehearsal. I hope I can go back on track. My last CA mark was 31/50, my lowest mark ever. The next CA is next week. Gasp. Then Pang Sensei, who came back from Japan, treated us to this butter sweet that melted in you mouth. It was so delicious! Oh now I feel addicted.

While I biked home, I thought about what would happened if all the trees were stripped of their leaves. Strange thought, but I shuddered. It was a morbid thought.

Homework:
Mathematics
Enhancing Literature Powerpoint
Bring Thermometer
Bring 'Reading Rites'
Bring 'Little Ironies'
Think of the next gathering date
Memorise 'Alma Mater', my school song (the musical piece which I am suppose to play)
Email Sensei

See?! I hope tomorrow's band practice would be good.
